Review: First show “Smart Mobility” full of success

Around 50 participants and 15 exhibitors – that is in numbers the balance of the first TRANS³ on “Smart Mobility”, which took place on May 30, 2018 in Děčín Castle in the Czech Republic. But not only the numbers make the success clear. The theme fair proved to be an excellent format for establishing contacts and exchanging ideas between science and industry, including at the transnational level.

The participants and exhibitors were particularly pleased with the variety of exhibits and experts present, the presentation of the projects, the pleasant atmosphere and the opportunity for individual discussions. Interest in a cooperation showed for example the Department of Advanced Powertrains at the Technical University Chemnitz, the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems in Dresden, the Chairs of Vehicle Mechatronics and of Traffic Control Systems and Process Automation of the Technische Universität Dresden as well as the Faculty of Transportation Sciences of the Technical University of Prague and the Czech Research and Development Center for driving of the company Valeo.

The lecture by Prof. Tomáš Zelinka from the Transport Sciences of the Technical University of Prague introduced the topic Mobility of the Future. Then all participants got the opportunity to introduce themselves. After the lunch break, the exhibitors once again presented their exhibits and projects to the public in detail. Finally, there was room for in-depth discussions and talks.

Once again we would like to thank all exhibitors for their support and the TRANS³Net project partner, OHK Děčín for organizing the event.
